Your child’s performance was compared to age-mates from around the country. Children whose performance on a task was the same as the average performance of age-mates received a score of 100. The standard deviation, a measure of the distance of scores from one another, is 15.
- A score at or above 115 is “well above average” - represented by the light green band at the top of the graph.
- A score between 90 and 114 is “in the average range” - represented by the darker green band below the “well above average” band.
- A score between 70 and 89 is “below average” - represented by the even darker green band below the “average range” band.
- A score below 70 is “well below average” - represented by the darkest green band at the bottom of the graph.
